Over time, 4chan and it's culture evolved as a sort of counterweight to the stiff, shallow, inane "how was your day? Nice weather we're having." jargon plaguing much of western society.
Traditionally a lot of users, me included, found our home here, to us you're just an Anonymous poster in the crowd, I don't fucking care how your day has been, if you've fed your dog, or what you had for dinner, and as long as this place remains a semblance of itself, I don't need to pretend I do, because this is a place free from circlejerking. For half a decade 4chan prospered without even hearing the concept of a "General".
Look... I'm not saying the old way is "better" or "right", just that I prefer it, and 4chan is the only place where you can even get that. and I truly do believe you enjoy doing what you do, but you need to be aware that as long as it happens here, it happens at our cost, we have nowhere else to go.
